The Ice Hotel at ALTO, Norway is a construction of ice which is rebuilt every year, so the entire structure is unique every year, It takes 8 - 10 weeks ,

to build and only if the temperature is just right and falling.

A multitude of carved figures, animals, all the main blocks for construction have to be made in advance of starting the build, multitude of different coloured lights gives a weird sense, to the atmosphere, you may stay in the hotel overnight if you wish, you are served a glass of spirit in a glass made of ice, no washing up.
