Hypnotic Bow Wave

Looking over the side of a ship at the ever changing bow wave was almost hypnotic, I often would spend half an hour at a time just watching the turbulence of the water, forming a myriad of shapes, from swirls to bubbles and also the water seemed to change colour for a few seconds, possibly their was more oxygen in the stirred up water
